ATLANTA — Microsoft is giving the city of Atlanta more than 22 acres of its Quarry Yards property in the Grove Park neighborhood for community use.

The company says while plans for its 90-acre campus are on pause, the land along Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway will strengthen the local neighborhood for years to come.

The city plans to use the land to help bolster its affordable housing efforts.

The donation details are expected to be finalized next summer.
